Taiwan Private Car Charter – FAQ

Q1. How is the charter fee calculated?

Distance & Route: The longer or more complex the route, the higher the fee (e.g., mountain areas, suburbs, restricted roads).
Passengers & Vehicle Type: Different group sizes require different vehicles. A 5-seater fits 3–4 passengers, while a 9-seater fits 7–8 passengers. Prices vary accordingly.
Duration: The longer the rental time, the higher the cost. Rates may also differ for special time slots.
Special Requests: Services like foreign language guides or small moving services may affect the price.

Q2. What does the charter fee include?

The quoted price on Jin Yue’s official website already covers vehicle service, driver’s meals and lodging, insurance, tolls, fuel, and parking fees. Everything is transparent — no hidden charges after the trip.

Q3. Are there any discounts?

Yes! Keep an eye on Jin Yue’s website or Facebook page for seasonal promotions such as early-bird discounts or review bonuses. Our staff will also inform you about available deals based on your travel dates.

Q4. What extra services are available?

  • Multi-day and cross-region services (pricing will be quoted in advance).
  • Child booster seats available at NT$200 per seat.
  • Pet-friendly service (please inform us in advance).
  • Special vehicle requests or other needs — contact customer service.

Q5. What is NOT included in the charter fee?

  • Accommodation, meals, attraction tickets
  • Tour guide or foreign language guide fees
  • Personal expenses
  • Child booster seat rental fee
  • Small moving service fee
  • Airport pick-up sign-holding service
  • Extra costs from traffic, weather, or flight cancellations
  • Overtime charges (payable to driver)

Q6. Are the vehicles legal and safe?

Yes. All vehicles are legal T-plate multi-purpose vehicles or R-plate rental cars, never illegal “white-plate” cars.

Q7. Can I request pick-up at a specific time and place?

Absolutely! The driver will arrive on time at your requested pick-up point.

Q8. Do you provide receipts or invoices?

Yes. An electronic receipt will be emailed to you within three business days after your trip. No extra tax or service fee will be added.

Q9. What payment methods are accepted?

We accept cash, bank transfer, online credit card, and in-person credit card payments. Once the deposit is received, your booking is confirmed.

Q10. Can I get a refund if I shorten the charter time on the day of service?

Unfortunately not. Since the driver has reserved the time for you, early cancellation or shortened hours cannot be refunded.

Q11. How early should I book?

We recommend booking as soon as your trip is confirmed. The earlier you book, the better the price!
