Wuchang Temple | Sacred Land of Xuantian Shangdi × 921 Earthquake Disaster Witness Landmark

In 1999, Jiji became the epicenter of the 921 Great Earthquake. At that time, the old temple structure of Wuchang Temple was completely destroyed and tilted, becoming the most representative witness site of the earthquake disaster. The temple authorities rebuilt a new temple not far away, and specially preserved the original appearance of the old site, so that future generations will not forget the earth-shaking historical moment.

Highlights:

• Completely preserved collapsed and tilted five-story tower and pillar structures, like a frozen historical scene in time

• Visitors can take close-up photos and observe the mechanical traces of building fractures and collapses, making it one of Taiwan's few open earthquake education sites
