When it comes to Dajia in Taichung, the first attraction that comes to mind is definitely Jenn Lann Temple.
This Mazu temple with nearly three hundred years of history is not only filled with flourishing incense, but has also become a globally watched religious event due to the Mazu pilgrimage activities in the third lunar month. Centuries of Incense, From Small Shrine to World Stage

Dajia Jenn Lann Temple can be traced back to 1730, when early Dajia settlers respectfully invited the Mazu statue from the ancestral temple in Meizhou, China to Taiwan, and established a small shrine for worship in 1732. After multiple renovations and expansions, it was finally renamed "Jenn Lann Temple" during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, and has now been standing for over 280 years.

The main deity "Purple Jade Mazu" enshrined in the main hall and the "Golden Mazu" in the Mazu Cultural Museum on the basement level are the two temple treasures that visiting believers must see.
In 2025, Jenn Lann Temple remains the most representative faith center in central Taiwan and is also one of the three treasures of Taichung, with an unshakeable status.
